If you’ve been following me for a while, you will know I have been fighting the nightowl in me for some time. Hopefully I am not jinxing myself but I am proud to announce that EVERY morning this week I have been up before or around 6am.
Previously, I would drag my very tired body out of bed after 7am. It doesn’t seem like much of a difference when you state the times here but it has changed a lot of things.
I am actually tired come bedtime.
I am less sluggish of a morning.
I am getting more done.
If Hubby chooses to stay up, I am slower to wind down.
Not every morning I am able to be up before the kids, I may need to rise earlier to squeeze in that ‘me time’ I have lost at night.
It’s early days but I have expressed to Hubby my intentions – that once I get the hang of this early rise thing (and I get up even earlier) I am going to head out for a run before he heads off to work thus fitting in that elusive exercise I never seem to fit in to my day.
So that’s it, I am officially switching sides or going soft (according to my facebook community, haha) but I am well on my way to becoming that Morning Person I want to be and it feels GREAT to be working closer to my goals.
Oh and this is happening -
Yep, I am one of those disgusting smokers. Even in my exercising hey day, I still smoked albeit a lot less than present. I am doing it, I am well and truly giving up! Wish me luck, I am going to need it.
Do you think one can really re-train themselves from nightowl to morning person?
What have you been up to this week?
